I have to turn off the car and re-start the car using the normal push-button start in order for the seat heaters to be turned on. This is a completely stock MDX. Just out of curiosity, try this: Step 1. From outside the car, use your key to lock and unlock the car. Step 2. Move 6 inches away from the car and repeat Step 1. Repeat Step 2 until the car no longer responds to your key. Mark that spot - it's the Initial Maximum Range.Connect your multimeter probes to the battery posts, start the car and watch the voltage. Normally, a running car with the alternator charging the battery would have between 13.8 and 14.8 volts running through it. There are settings regarding the smart key on your dash controls. If you can manually press the button on the FOB and it unlocks the car, then changes/adjustments has to be made to the settings. Allow for automatic unlock once you touch the handle.If they do come on, then you may have a problem with the receiver for your key and it will have to be checked by connecting a scan tool to the system.
