This is accompanied by a very noticeable and concerning shudder in the car while driving. It definitely sounded as if cyl 3 was not firing.Dec 29, 2011 · S. To fix the problem remove both wipers and turn the ignition on and then move the wiper stalk to the first 'sweep' setting and allow the spindles to 'sweep' and stop and then move the stalk to the 'off' position and then do it again as this will put the spindles in the correct position to re attach the wipers.
