Makes the butt of the gun just a bit too long. The Macro is my first Sig, and I am now completely sold on them. It has taken the spot as my primary carry gun. I got a p365 grip module for when I want to carry something smaller. The modularity is why I am now such a fan of Sig. I tend to agree with the notion to go full-size or no smaller than a P229 or P320 Carry. Worried I might mistake the X-Macro for a taser or visa versa. Plus, your wearing a Sam Brown rig that carries a full-size handgun comfortably. You get the advantage of a longer barrel and possibly higher capacity.The Xmacro with its 17 rd grip is not concealable at all. It’s worse than Glock 19 to conceal. So if that’s what you are considering get a Glock 19 MOS. P365 XL is the subcompact that is comparable to 43x. The P365 XL has a more compact grip than 43x MOS by about 1/4” which makes a difference for concealability.

But that’s not a macro exclusive issue. The shorter barrel, yes. It is shorter but the drop in velocity is the difference between shooting basic .40S&W and +P 9mm. Nominal at best. It looks just like the tactical development one, thats currently sold out, I think the macro has a pretty nice mag well to begin with.
