I had BG3 installed on a SSD but I had major problems with textures not loading and stuff popping in during cutscenes and exploration. It is probably a stupid oversight on my part, but I assumed my SSD was good and it wouldn't be causing an issue like this.

My biggest BG3 save is 3.5GB. It would take literally 0.5 seconds for the PS5 load process that amount of data. Edit: so I'll reiterate, if the game loads slowly on PS5 it has nothing to do with the PS5 and would load just as slow on a PS5 Pro unless Larian properly optimized the game to take advantage of such fast SSDs. I am wondering if it is something with my computer or systemic to BG3 atm. It takes an annoying amount of time to load back to a save game. My computer can run BG3 with certain settings turned down (low shadows, no god rays, no ambient occlusion, etc), but it stills eats up almost all of my memory to run the thing. The game will slow down, I'll have frequent frame drops, and when I load into an area, it takes ages for all the objects/terrain to render in.

Moving my character has slowed down to be painstaking slow. I have submitted a bug to Larian with no response. There's a "Slow HDD" toggle that seems more like a placebo than anything, and it turns itself off sometimes when you restart the game. But it *says* it can offset some of the loading by using extra RAM/VRAM. I just personally don't notice much of a difference, but otherwise playing on an HDD is just fine. 5.Some motherboards have a built-in video port as well. Its a common mistake to make. But back on subject I have a GTX 1060 card and my models are slow to load at time as well. Ideally, with all modern games should be loaded onto an m.2 or SATA SSD as the older spinning disc Hard Drives will take a long time to load games. My BG3 is loaded on a SATA SSD and I am loaded up in about 20seconds (though I haven't put a stop watch on it). If I put BG3 on my m.2 I can imagine it would be a little bit quicker.
