I'm personally not recommending you to start new game trying to play as pyromancer. Because you should upgrade your Pyromancy Flame (+10) first and then you can play easily. Just gain some soul levels (100-120 should be good) and loot 10 fire seeds to upgrade Pyromancy Flame before building your pyro class. 6.
