The fob for the doors is different than the signal for the chip that's inside the fob. There is a proximity sensor it's behind the push button that picks up the chip in the fob. If that sensor is not working it won't pick up the chip in your key. Try pushing the engine start button with the fob, some times that works. 1.Stopped vehicle and would not start and kept giving no key detected. Got home and tried spare key. Same issue. Replaced both sets with new batteries. Same issue. Vehicle locks/unlocks/remote starts with both fobs. Door auto unlock touch handles no longer function. Turn the key and NOTHING happens with the starter. The display reads "Key Not Detected". Turn the key around, use the other key, wiggle the key in the ignition... nothing. Thirty minutes later... car works great! Works great with both keys. So now it is working great. Seems weird to take it to the dealer.
