I would reccomend 1D7x1A,B, and radio. A shred works with all the equipment in comm closets such as switches and routers. It is the most difficult in my opinion. Merge is projected for March right now, but until it happens, it hasn't happened. Not sure when the merge will impact retraining, but as of now tech school is still teaching the old shreds. Looking forward though, if all you care about is marketability, Enterprise Ops (Q-shred) is what you'd want.The 1D7 career field is documented in the AFECD (Air Force Enlisted Classifications Directory) since October 2020, however, the career field is not on the accession plan for fiscal year 2021 (October 2020 - September 2021).
