Remove the screw, install a plastic line on the fitting and start the tractor. Turn the steering wheel to the RH stop position and open the fitting slowly. Let oil bleed out the line until no bubbles are present then tighten the fitting. Be careful as the steering wheel may jump after the bubbles are gone. Recheck the steering.

I push the starter button and I hear the starter motor turning but the bendix does not engage the flywheel... or it is every so slightly engaging that it doesn't even sound like it's grinding.

I have a '67 4020. It has the two metal fuel filters. loosen the bleed screw on the bottom one, pump the lever on the back side of the fuel pump until fuel starts to run out, close it and open the one on the top filter.

Is it the original 24 volt system where it is 12V negative ground from one battery and 12V positive ground from the other battery and is isolated from the chassis? Its sure to take at least 300 amps for ten seconds starting but the generator only puts out 10 amps, so it take a long time the recharge.
