Majestic colonial vs elegance.
Was at the Colonial in Mar. 2023. Beautiful place. Food was great. Staff amazing. Clean. Beach was excellent with very little sargassum. It was busy with the Spring Breakers but that negative was all about timing. Overall I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the Majestic resorts. Stayed in the Colonial Club. Room directly on the beach.

Rooms are a solid concrete construction and are quiet except if someone drags a chair across the floor above or below. You don't hear conversations. Aug 17, 2023 · There are 3 Majestics. Colonial is the older section (mostly family) but has been renovated in the past few years. Elegance is 2nd oldest and will in fact close for renovations shortly. Mirage is the newest and is mostly adults only (only 2 accommodation buildings are for families) Edited: 3:35 am, August 18, 2023. Will be hard to have people who have visited both resorts.
