I finally ordered a completely new pinch detector and DFI kit. I changed it all out, it was working great for about a month. Now these past few days I am back to seeing the pinch detector alerts. I absolutely despise having to open the litter robot and have probably about a good 10x now. I’ve had the litter robot 3 for 3-4 years now.To add, the sensor is two $.01 pieces of plated metal that get litter basically dumped on them with every cycle. So they corrode / get dirty and give tons of false pinch alerts. Sometimes the pinch alert requires a full unplug to reset. I kept finding my LR stuck upside down, leading the cats to find other places to do their messes. Empty the Litter-Robot waste drawer. Ensure the waste drawer liner is properly installed and tucked into all 4 tabs. Perform a hard reset after emptying the waste drawer: Unplug Litter-Robot for 10 seconds and replug. The filter works very well and in either instance couldn't detect odors at all. It's important to keep an eye on it via the Whisker app. It connects to your robot, offers to nickname the machine (turd burglar), offers to send you notifications every time your kitty goes potty, to let you know of any errors immediately.
