Jun 5, 2019 · The grip really stands out on the M&P because Smith & Wesson spent a lot of time figuring out the ergonomics of the hand to fit the pistol. They use the standard 1911 grip angle but it comes with 3 different grip panels that are interchangeable for different hand sizes. The M&P has a pivoting trigger for safety.

If reliability and longevity are your measurement there's no way to say an XD is superior. The widespread use of Glock's in militaries and LE along with the simplicity of the design and ease to repair and replace parts put Glock well ahead of other competitors.

I have yet to find any concrete evidence that the Glock 19 is more reliable than the Mod.2, or many other modern polymer wonder guns. I'm not knocking the 19. But I do see competitive alternatives that have been just as reliable as the 19 to say the least.The XD has a few hardware advantages. It's trigger is definitely better than the Glock's. The main 2 things I don't like about the XD are the high bore axis and the restrictive magwell. The thing I like most about the XD is its balance. The sights return like magic on splits. For me, the Glock is a better Production gun.Same happened to me on Tuesday. My Glock friend has the 19 and I have the 5.25 9mm. He had never fired mine in the few months I've owned it. After shooting the 5.25 he came back saying it was smooth like butter. I know mine is more comp. oriented but I personally don't notice all that much difference between the two.

XD9 fits my hand better but the Glock 19 is more concealable because of the shorter grip. The XD is a pretty slept on gun, its comfortable, easy to shoot, and easier to manipulate than a gen 3 19.
