Besides mutants have always existed in the Marvel world 🌎 look at Apocalypse, Logan, Sinister and Mystique as examples. Lastly, this isn't just one character or small group of characters. The X-men constitutes about a third of the Marvel Universe. They need un-convoluted narrative real estate to effectively grow. Like you said, it just doesn't work. I hate that IvX happened. Logan, DOFP, First Class and X2 are some of the best in the Genre. The Deadpool movies were great. X1 and The wolverine are pretty good. Apocalypse and The Last Stand are bad/mediocre but have some great scenes in them. Honestly, X-men origins is the only truly terrible one.In the photos of the new series, he has long white hair, no helmet, and thus outfit. The DoX books since were more hit or miss. I was loving Marauders and the Hickman half of New Mutants but books like X-Force or Fallen Angels did nothing for me.
