I had a wall Plaster 1cm for the walls and a composite wall plaster 1cm + grounding layer with no thickness to it and modelled them on each and every element. The courses on Lynda were very valuable to me when I was first starting with Revit (and I still go there whenever I have questions). The "essentials" courses are pretty thorough and divided up into nice ~10m chunks so you can skip around and watch only what you need to or if you have a specific question (like how to add a roof or staircase). I find groups in archicad are terrbile compared to revit groups. the idea that i have to hotlink are more like external references is a time killer.
