Onieda vs. Mathews. I am currently considering switching bows from a 2001 Mathews SQ2 to a new (2005) Onieda Black Eagle ESC. I've been weighing the pros and cons of each. I love the super quietness of the Mathews and the bow is consistant but there is torque and the cable guard keeps loosening, however, the Onieda offers a really smooth draw ...OK guys here's my breakdown and opinion on both bows that own. 162. Just finish shooting the Vertix, RX3 and prime CT5. The Vertix is a great shooting bow it's noticeable heavier than the Hoyt but the quietest of the three.
