That transducer will convert the movements of the steering wheel into an electrical signal you can run wires to a rack that came from a car that had drive by wire. Systems like this are used by oems.Your dash-mounted headlight switch will have to go, if you want to use the column-mounted switch. 5. The second one is located very near the rear leaf spring mount of the front spring, and can be sprayed without drilling the floor of the tub. Just get under there and you'll see what I mean. proper wiring of alternator. I have 79 cj7 304. Re-wired my alternator to be a one wire but can seem to charge below 2000rpm. This is what I have done. Connected red wire to red wire going to starter solenoid on battery positive side. The alternator is a brand new and so is the wiring harness going into the back/side of the alternator.
Feb 12, 2009 · The Jeep has a 32/36 weber on it and everything else is completely stock all the way back to what looks like the original exhaust. Jeep has 206k on the clock so a lot has got to go. Here is what I've done so far. Replaced: cap & rotor, plugs, wires, thermostat, heater core, blower (from blazer), valve cover gasket, and the catalytic convertor.

I've found that the 4.0L runs best on champion copper plugs. The same kind that it came with. Since your XJ is a 2001, it won't have plug wires or a distributor but instead has a coil pack ignition. As far as the E3 plugs or other fancy ones, thats your own decision.
