As someone's earlier post described, the Melee Pit challenges can be some of the most frustrating content in Forbidden West. I gave up on the melee combo challenges for a few days, out of pure rage. I finally completed the challenges about an hour ago, and wrote some notes in hopes that they help other frustrated players. That is not a bug. as in the Pit Masters will always show in the quest log. If you done all the challenges and such, the icon should turn green on the map but the quest log is still there.
