Hey @Merc4183 After speaking with pitboss for the 3rd time, they suggested that the problem could be the control panel. So I have ordered a new control panel and a new auger motor which should be arriving in the next fortnight. I will install the new parts and see if that fixes it. I will post here with the answer

Just one other tip - when removing the original control panel and connecting the new one do it one connector at a time. That way the connectors will be in like positions. I replaced my control panel and used this practice and had no problem.
