Bin is a great professor, but his accent can make him hard to understand at times. His usual grading is 50% midterm, 50% final, and his feedback is not very useful. However, the two tests are take-home, and the problems are very similar to examples he gives in lectures. If you read through the lectures, you should pass easily.

Steve Bleiler is most likely one of the most brilliant professors at Portland State, and it is very evident if you're ever in his class. He once told us "you will work harder than you you ever have for less reward than you ever thought possible". He's a funny guy, and his classes are difficult, but you won't for a second regret taking them. 1) 7-8 assignments per week! They aren't*tough* but they are time consuming. It feels like busywork instead of actually using what we're learning. 2) each of these assignments is worth 20-40 points. 3) You will also need to pay an additional $120 to access videos. 4) He doesn't grade quickly & gives NO feedback.
