Hi Sheila, the orifices on the Tappan Deluxe are all adjustable. They are essentially needle valves. There will be one on each burner plus one for the oven. Using a wrench you will want to turn the orifice which is a hex nut all the way in and then back it out about a turn or so. Light the burner and check the flame.
