YTA. You're not entitled to birthday gifts. You're also broken up. You should be grateful if he gets you anything at all. If you value him so much then don't be ungrateful for what he does get you. Why is the birthday gift from him such a big deal? I don't think it's lazy at all to get someone something they've mentioned they wanted.

It’s a 7 day boat trip and a trip of a lifetime. All in it will probably cost 10k. He will cover the costs and he’s successful so money is not an issue for him. He also would never hold it over my head. You can change or forgo a birthday gift for any reason, or none at all, but that sounds like a good reason (number 2). Still it'll probably hurt her feelings and may cause a further rift, so you may want to consider just something different (like a small gift card) just to not be obvious.
